Aviated Futures- Chapter 1
Chapter 1 High above the land in the German skies is where the good doctor, William Octavius, and his automatic assistant Herschel lived and worked peacefully together. The men resided high in the atmosphere, surrounded by a variety of blimps and airplanes which each held an array of people living their lives and working in an aerial community that has been completely self-sustained for the past twenty years. Wooden vessels of varying sizes were all over the air district, floating around one another with ease that showed the advancements of the steampunk machinery. All of the individual ships were held in their specifically paid air plots by the combination of the large balloon that kept each ship afloat in the air, and individualized pieces of iron hanging from the bottom of each boat, which were shown off pridefully around the air men and women. Each anchor was made in such a way to identify either the owner's family name, placement in the hierarchy, or their trade of living. The
